To achieve the goal of 20GW renewable energy capacity in 2025, Taiwan’s Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan has announced the “Large Power Users Regulation” based on the “Renewable Development Act.”
Large power users, defined as companies that have 5,000kwh electricity contract capacity per month with Tai-Power, are required to build a renewable power plant within 5 years to offset 10% of their energy consumption.
